Mookaite is formed by the ancient skeletal remains of radiolaria
and was named Morganite in honor of John Pierpoint Morgan
" an allusion to the moon-like white reflections of the mineral or to the quality of the light transmitted from the stone
Morganite gets its pink hue from the presence of manganese or cesium in the stone
Yellow Opal Faceted AA-Grade Banded 4mm Round - 15-16 Inch Round The stone's composition remains somewhatYellow Opal is transparent to opaque, milky white to pale yellow in color. It sometimes features dark brown to black dendritic inclusions that branch like tiny tree limbs through the stone. Unlike other forms of opal, Yellow Opal does not display the changeable flash of internal luster that other opals are known for. Historically Opal was renowned as the Queen of Gems for its desirability and beauty.
