He was born in Elberfeld on 23 May 1910 and was employed as a wood polisher
having become a 1st Lieutenant in 1898
Japan, Empire. An Order Of The Sacred Treasure, I Class Star, C.1930 Auction Archive maker marked “RZM M9/11”(Zuiho_sho). Instituted in 1888. In silver gilt and enamels, measuring 76mm, reverse engraved with four Japanese characters, slight hairline cracks to white rays, in very fine condition.
